Mothers´centres are places, which support mothers on maternity leave and supply them with meetings, education and fun as well as development of children's personalities through games. The mothers' centres organise programmes for mothers, parents and children – especially creative, educational, training and sports activities.

The very first Mothers´ Centre in the Czech Republic was established in 1992 on the ground floor of the YMCA Palace in Prague. It inspired others and there are 500 such centres in the Czech Republic nowadays. The idea behind shows how to spend time with children and how to feel valued and worthwhile at the same time.

Currently Czech YMCA runs 12 mothers' centres in several towns and cities in the Czech Republic – there are 3 in Praha, 2 in Brno and 1 in each of folowing towns (Cvikov, Brniště, Hradec Králové, Jindřichův Hradec, Neveklov, Břeclav, Ústí nad Labem).

Another YMCA programme Manželská setkání (Matrimony Ministries) focuses on support of families - including programmes for couples, parents and children, youth and all families. It supplies them with space for sharing experience and counselling. This programme is realized through the YMCA Setkání and Familia
